Boiled Custard
Boiled Custard is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 eggs, separated, 3 c. sugar, 5 tbsp. flour, 1 can evaporated milk and 1/2 gal. sweet milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Beat egg yolks until lemon colored.
Stir in sugar and flour. Add Pet milk and sweet milk.
Cook in double boiler until mixture begins to thicken.
Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff.
Stir into custard and cook until thick.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Chill before serving.
Makes 1 gallon.
