Blackberry Pinwheel Cobbler
Blackberry Pinwheel Cobbler is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. margarine, 1 1/2 c. flour, 3 c. fresh blackberries and 2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Combine sugar and water in saucepan, stir well.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
Set aside.
Place margarine in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch dish and place in 350° oven until margarine melts.
Set aside.
Cut shortening into flour until mixture becomes coarse.
Add milk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.
Turn dough onto a lightly floured board.
Roll dough into 12 x 9-inch rectangle.
Spread berries over, sprinkle with cinnamon.
Roll up, jelly roll fashion.
Cut dough in 12 slices.
Place in melted margarine.
Pour sugar syrup over slices.
Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes, or until golden brown.
Yields 12 servings.
