Black Walnut Cake
Black Walnut Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 2/3 c. sugar, 2 sticks margarine, 1/4 c. crisco, 3 c. plain flour (white lily) and 1/2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix margarine, Crisco and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt at least at 3 different intervals.
Add alternately with milk.
Add flavoring. Roll 1 cup walnuts in dry flour, mix in batter.
Bake in three 9-inch cake pans. Bake in a 350Β° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
