Black Forest Torte
Black Forest Torte is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. flour, 1 1/4 tsp. soda, 1/4 tsp. baking powder, 4 oz. melted, cooled unsweetened chocolate and 1 1/4 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Place all ingredients except eggs in a mixing bowl.
Beat together at medium speed for 4 or 5 minutes.
Add whole eggs and beat for 2 minutes.
Pour into 4 buttered 9-inch cake pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 15 to 18 minutes.
Cool before filling.
Spread first layer with half of chocolate filling.
Add the second layer and cover with half of cream filling.
Repeat, having cream filling on top.
Chill cake until firm before serving.
