Cream together sugar and butter.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients and mix until blended.
Fold in almonds.
Shape into a roll the same length as your cookie sheet.
Flatten to 1/2 inch thick and 3 inches wide. Bake at 350Β° until browned.
Cut into cookies at 1/2 inch intervals.
Turn over and place back in oven to brown the other side.
