Betty Lou's Sheet Cake
Betty Lou'S Sheet Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 c. lard or oleo, 3 large eggs, 2 1/2 c. flour and 2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Mix first 3 ingredients well.
Add remaining ingredients and cream together.
In greased jelly roll pan, spread 2/3 of mixture and spread a can of fruit pie filling over batter and top with remaining 1/3 of batter.
Any canned or thawed frozen fruit may be used by thickening juice with cornstarch before spreading on batter.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes.
