Betsy's Shrimp Creole
Betsy'S Shrimp Creole is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. butter, 1/4 c. chopped onions, 1 garlic clove, chopped, 6 minced green olives and 1 can tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Melt butter.
Add chopped onions, garlic clove and green olives.
Cook 2 minutes in butter.
Add tomatoes, green pepper, bay leaf, thyme, chopped parsley or flakes, sugar, salt, red pepper, sliced mushrooms and chili sauce.
Cook about 1 hour in saucepan.
Sauce can be prepared day or so in advance.
Do not add shrimp until heating to serve.
Add 1 package frozen shrimp and heat through.
Serve over rice.
Yields 4 servings.
Do not add shrimp until just before serving time.
