Best Chocolate Pie
Best Chocolate Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 3 tbsp. cocoa, 3 tbsp. self-rising flour, 2 c. evaporated milk, undiluted and 3 eggs, separated, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
In pot, combine sugar, cocoa and flour.
Stir and get out lumps.
Add milk and cook over low heat.
Stir as it thickens. When mixture gets very hot, add beaten egg yolks slowly as you stir.
Continue cooking and stirring until very thick.
Remove from heat; add margarine and vanilla.
Pour in pie shell.
Beat egg whites to make meringue.
(If using sugar, use only one tablespoon for each egg white.)
