Best Baked Custard is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 eggs, slightly beaten, dash of salt, 2 1/2 c. milk, scalded, 1/3 c. sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Heat oven to 350Β°.
Blend eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla. Gradually stir in milk.
Pour into six 6 ounce custard cups. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Place cups in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; pour very hot water into pan to within 1/2 inch of tops of cups. Bake for 45 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.
Remove cups from water.
Serve custard warm or chilled.
