Beef Stew '57 is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. cubed beef, 1 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. sugar, dash of pepper and 1 tbsp. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Brown meat with salt, sugar and pepper in shortening.
Add 2 cups water, beef bouillon cubes and cover.
Simmer 1 hour or until meat is tender.
Stir in Heinz 57 sauce and vegetables.
Cover and simmer an additional hour or until vegetables are tender.
Thicken with the flour and water.
