Beef Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. beef stew meat, 1 medium onion, diced, 1 (7 oz.) jar stuffed olives, 1 can beef broth and 1 can cream of mushroom soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Brown the stew meat in olive oil.

Add onion and simmer 2 minutes.

Put all ingredients (except rice) in crock-pot.

Cook for 4 to 5 hours.

One hour before time to eat, add the rice.

I only use 1/2 cup rice so that there will be more liquid.

Use the liquid from the olives.

I never add any extra salt.

This stew freezes very well.

I freeze small containers for later meals.
