Beef Brisket
Beef Brisket is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 to 6 lb. beef brisket, 3 tbsp. liquid smoke, 3 tbsp. worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp. garlic powder and 1 tsp. celery seed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, celery seed and brown sugar; add brisket.
If brisket isn't mostly covered, add some water and ketchup.
Let set overnight in shallow pan.
Place brisket in roaster pan; seal top with foil.
Cook at 300Β° for 4 or 5 hours.
Uncover.
Add barbecue sauce if desired and cook 1 more hour.
Remove meat.
Let cool.
Remove fat.
Add two tablespoons flour and 1/2 cup water to meat sauce.
Allow meat to cool before slicing.
Slice across the grain very thin.
