Bean Soup
Bean Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. navy beans, 1 1/2 to 2 lb. ham shank with meat, 3 1/2 qt. water, 1/3 c. mashed potatoes and 2 large onions, diced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Bring water and ham to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
Add beans and simmer 1 hour.
Stir in potatoes and all else.
Cook 45 minutes to 1 hour.
