Bean Relish
Bean Relish is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (16 oz.) can whole green beans, 1/3 c. vinegar, 2 tbsp. sugar, 1 tsp. dill seed and 1 tsp. mixed pickling spices, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Drain beans, reserve liquid.
Mix reserved liquid with vinegar, sugar, dill seed, pickling spices and 1 teaspoon salt; bring to boiling.
Reduce heat; cover.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Add beans; heat through.
Cool and drain.
Toss with onion and oil. Cover and chill overnight.
This will keep up to a week in a tightly covered plastic container.
