Basic Sweet Roll Dough
Basic Sweet Roll Dough is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. lukewarm milk, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 tsp. salt, 2 pkg. yeast and 2 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Mix first three ingredients together. Put yeast in and stir until dissolved.
Stir in eggs, shortening and flour in two parts. Knead dough gently.
Should be almost sticky.
Put in greased bowl and let rise until double.
Shape into whatever shapes you wish.
Sticky buns, doughnuts, coffee cake or just plain pan rolls.
Bake at 425Β° for 15 or 20 minutes.
