Scald 1 1/2 cups milk top of double boiler.
Combine sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt.
remaining cup milk and egg yolks.
Stir flour mixture into cook until thickened. Remove from heat.
Add butter and vanilla.
Let cool a little and pour into baked pie shell.
Cover with meringue.
