Cut shortening into flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Blend in enough milk to make a soft dough.
Turn out on lightly floured board or pastry cloth and knead gently 30 seconds. Roll out 1/2-inch thick.
Cut out biscuits with floured 2-inch biscuit cutter or sharp knife.
Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 450Β° oven 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
