Barbecued Spareribs
Barbecued Spareribs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 country-style spareribs, 1 large onion, 3 tbsp. brown sugar, 1 tbsp. mustard and 1 c. catsup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In large skillet or Dutch oven, brown the spareribs well on both sides.
Add sliced onion, brown sugar, catsup, mustard, salt and pepper.
Add 2 cups water; cover and simmer about 2 hours, until ribs are tender.
Remove spareribs and thicken the juice as would gravy.
Delicious served with mashed potatoes!
(Also cooks up nicely in a crock-pot.)
