Barbara's Back Porch Rolls
Barbara'S Back Porch Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. crisco, 2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 1 c. boiling water and 2 eggs, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Put Crisco, sugar and salt in large bowl.
Pour in boiling water and stir.
Add beaten eggs and stir well.
Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water.
Add Crisco mixture.
Gradually stir in 6 cups unsifted flour.
Mix all together and refrigerate overnight.
Roll out and cut with a 2-inch cutter.
Put in greased muffin tins and let rise until double, about 3 or 4 hours.
Bake in preheated oven at 425Β° for 7 or 9 minutes.
Makes 4 dozen.
