Bar-B-Q Sauce

Pour water, vinegar, syrup and mustard into a large pan. Beat with a portable mixer until smooth. Add butter and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until butter melts.
Lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Makes enough sauce for 5
/2 to 4 lb. whole fryers split down the breast and cooked over a charcoal fire.
