Banberry Surprise
Banberry Surprise is an easy dinner. Made with 2 (3 oz.) boxes strawberry gelatin, 2 cups boiling water, 1 cup strawberry soda pop, banana slices and 1 box white or yellow cake mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
Add strawberry soda pop and cool completely.
Mix cake according to package directions (do not use cake mix with pudding in it).
Bake in 13 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 2 inch greased and floured pan.
Let cool completely.
After cake is cooled, using potato peeler, poke lots of holes all the way to the bottom.
Pour gelatin and soda pop mixture over cake.
Cover entire top of cake with thick sliced bananas.
