Banana Pineapple Salad
Banana Pineapple Salad is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, 2 c. water, 1 (8 oz.) pkg. lemon jell-o, 8 large marshmallows and 2 bananas, sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Drain pineapple; reserve 1/2 cup juice.
In a saucepan, bring water to boil.
Remove from heat.
Add Jell-O and marshmallows. Stir until dissolved.
Chill until partially set.
Toss bananas with lemon juice.
Fold bananas and pineapple into Jell-O.
Pour into 9-inch square pan.
Chill until firm.
Combine the sugar, flour and salt in saucepan.
Stir in egg and reserved pineapple juice.
Cook and stir over low heat until thick.
Remove from heat.
Stir in oleo; cool.
Fold in Cool Whip; spread over Jell-O. Sprinkle with pecans.
Chill overnight.
