Banana Nut Bread
Banana Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. flour, 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 2/3 c. sugar and 3/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Stir dry ingredients in a bowl.
Set aside.
In a mixer bowl, beat sugar and shortening with an electric mixer until light.
Add eggs and milk, beat smooth after each addition.
Add flour mixture and banana alternately to creamed mixture, beating until smooth after each addition.
Fold in nuts.
Turn batter into lightly greased 8 x 4 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 60 to 65 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes clean.
Cool in pan 10 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Cool completely.
Freezes well.
