Banana Cake
Banana Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. soft butter or margarine, 1 1/4 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 1 1/2 c. flour and 1/2 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream butter and sugar until blended.
Add eggs and beat until fluffy.
Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture along with buttermilk and mashed bananas. Mix just until batter is smooth and well blended.
Stir in 1/4 cup of the nuts.
Spread in a buttered 9-inch square cake pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes.
Frost with favorite chocolate frosting and sprinkle with remaining nuts.
Makes 1 (9-inch) cake.
