Baklava
Baklava is an easy dinner. Made with 5 c. sugar, 3 c. water, 1 lemon, 2 sticks cinnamon and 5 whole cloves, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Combine sugar and water in a large saucepan.
Cut lemon in half and squeeze juice into sugar and water, then drop the lemon halves into the pot.
Add cinnamon and cloves and bring to a boil; simmer until mixture thickens and reaches a syrupy consistency. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
Remove lemon peel, cloves and cinnamon sticks.
Set aside.
