Baking Powder Biscuits
Baking Powder Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. once sifted pastry flour or 1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose, 4 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 3 to 5 tbsp. shortening, chilled and 2/3 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Sift flour once, then sift into bowl with baking powder and salt.
Add shortening and milk and mix lightly.
Knead 10 seconds on a lightly floured board and roll out to 3/4 inch thickness. Shape with floured cutter.
Arrange on greased pan.
Bake at 450Β° about 12 minutes.
Serve hot.
