Baked Water Chestnuts
Baked Water Chestnuts is an easy dinner. Made with 2 cans water chestnuts (whole), 1/2 lb. bacon (raw), 2/3 c. sugar and 1/2 c. ketchup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Wrap each chestnut in 1/2 strip raw bacon.
Secure with toothpick.
Place on broiler tray.
Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until bacon is crisp.
(Bake; do not broil.) While chestnuts are baking, mix sugar and ketchup in a small bowl.
Remove wrapped chestnuts from pan.
(Do not remove toothpicks.)
Place in baking dish.
Pour ketchup mixture over chestnuts.
Bake for 20 minutes at 350°.
Serve hot.
