Baked Stuffed Apples
Baked Stuffed Apples is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 large baking apples, 1/2 c. raisins or chopped dates, 3/4 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg and 1/3 c. chopped walnuts or pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Core apples, then peel 1/2 way down from the top.
Place in a baking dish and fill centers with mixture of nuts, raisins or dates.
In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar and spices. Bring to a boil while stirring, then simmer 8 to 10 minutes.
Pour over apples, then bake at 350Β° for 40 to 45 minutes.
Baste apples with the syrup 3 or 4 times during baking.
Makes six servings.
