Baked Okra
Baked Okra is an moderately easy dinner. Made with okra, 1 tsp. salt, 2 heaping tbsp. cornmeal, 1 rounded tbsp. flour and 2 level tsp. bacon drippings, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Wash okra good and while wet, slice in 1/2-inch slices.
Add salt, cornmeal and flour.
Stir this in with a spoon.
Have ready 1 medium size, hot frypan that has bacon drippings.
Let okra heat 2 or 3 minutes, then stir lightly.
Place on top of okra the 1 pat of butter.
Set this pan of okra in hot oven.
