Baked Custard
Baked Custard is an easy dinner. Made with 1 (8 oz.) container egg substitute or 4 eggs, 1/4 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt, 2 c. milk, scalded (whole or skim) and 1 tsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Preheat oven to 325Β°.
Combine eggs, sugar and salt.
Slowly stir in slightly cooled milk and vanilla.
Pour into 6 (5 ounce) baking cups or a 1-quart shallow baking dish.
Pour 1 inch of hot water into a larger baking pan and place custard filled dish(es) in water.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes until a knife inserted in custard comes out clean.
Serve warm or chilled; either plain, with your favorite sauce or with fruit.
