Aunt Ann's Sugar Cookies
Aunt Ann'S Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. margarine, 1 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. vanilla and 1 egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Mix margarine and sugar until fluffy.
Add salt, vanilla, egg, cream of tartar, soda and baking powder.
Mix well.
Add flour and mix well.
Refrigerate at least two hours.
Make small balls about the size of walnuts.
Flatten on cookie sheet with bottom of glass that has been dipped in sugar often.
Do not grease or oil cookie sheet.
Bake at 375Β° for 8 minutes.
Remove from cookie sheet at once.
Frost if desired.
Cookies freeze well in plastic bag.
