April's Chocolate Covered Strawberries
April'S Chocolate Covered Strawberries is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 oz. sweet chocolate, 2 1/2 tbsp. heavy cream, 3 tsp. dark rum, 1/2 tsp. unsalted butter and 1 pt. strawberries, washed (stems left on), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt chocolate in the top of a double boiler.
With a wooden spoon, stir in cream, rum and butter.
Remove from heat.
Holding strawberry by the stem, dip into chocolate, covering the tip and one side of the berry.
Place strawberries, chocolate side down, on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper and chill.
