Applets is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. grated apples, 2 envelopes plain gelatin, 3/4 c. grated apples, 1 tsp. lemon juice and 2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Combine 1 envelope of gelatin with 1/2 cup apples.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Combine lemon juice, 3/4 cup apples, sugar and gelatin.
Add to first mixture.
Bring to a boil.
Boil 15 minutes.
Stir constantly.
Remove from heat.
Cool and add vanilla and nuts.
Pour into an oiled 8-inch pan.
Let stand 24 hours in fridge.
Cut into small pieces.
Roll in powdered sugar and cornstarch mixture.
Let dry, uncovered, until outside has dried.
