Applesauce Raisin Cake
Applesauce Raisin Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour (can mix whole wheat with all-purpose), 1 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Combine flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and nuts in a bowl.
Plump raisins by placing in hot water for 10 minutes and drain off water.
Melt margarine in a saucepan and heat until bubbling.
Add applesauce and baking soda.
Remove from heat. Combine wet and dry mixtures.
Fill a greased pan 3/4 full and bake at 350Β° for 35 minutes or until firm on top.
Frost, if desired, when cool.
