Applesauce Cupcakes
Applesauce Cupcakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. chopped raisins, 1/2 c. chopped nuts, 2 c. sifted flour, 1 tsp. soda and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Wash raisins in lukewarm water and cut into small pieces. Scald nuts and chop coarsely.
Sift flour; measure and return to sifter.
Add soda, salt and spices.
Cream shortening; add sugar gradually.
Add egg and beat until light.
Add dry ingredients alternately with applesauce.
Stir in nuts and raisins.
Fill muffin tins 2/3 full.
Bake at 350Β° for 20 to 30 minutes.
