Applesauce Cookies
Applesauce Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. soft shortening, 1 c. brown sugar, packed, 1 egg, 1/2 c. applesauce and 2 1/4 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Heat oven to 375Β°.
Mix together thoroughly the shortening, brown sugar and egg.
Stir in applesauce and sift together flour, soda and spices and stir in.
Mix in raisins and nuts.
Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
