Cream oil and sugar.
Add applesauce and flour which has been mixed with spices.
Mix in raisins.
Mix soda with hot water and add last.
Pour batter into a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan. Sprinkle with granulated sugar, making a light coating.
Bake at 350Β° for 35 minutes or until done.
No frosting is needed.
