Applesauce Cake(Murphy Family Recipe) is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. and a little more applesauce, 1 c. butter, 2 c. brown sugar (1 box), 3 c. flour and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Warm applesauce (not hot).
Mix soda and salt, set aside. Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla and beat well.
Mix spices, 1 cup flour, nuts and raisins.
Mix thoroughly.
Blend all mixtures together and rest of flour.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 1/2 hours.
In 1 hour and 15 minutes check cake by using toothpick.
