Applesauce Cake
Applesauce Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. flour, 1 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. allspice and nutmeg and 1 c. sweetened applesauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Sift all dry ingredients.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg; beat well, then add nuts, raisins and applesauce.
Mix into dry ingredients, leaving a little flour to add last.
Add 2 tablespoons hot water and remainder of flour.
Bake in a 325Β° oven in loaf pans or 9 x 13-inch greased pan for approximately 35 to 45 minutes.
