Applesauce Cake

Heat applesauce and add soda.
Sift together flour, salt, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
Mix eggs, shortening and sugar. Add dry ingredients and applesauce.
Add raisins and nuts; mix well.
Bake in a tube pan that has been greased and floured at 350Β° for 1 1/2 hours.
