Applesauce Cake
Applesauce Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. homemade applesauce or natural store bought, 1/2 c. vegetable shortening, 1 1/4 c. raisins, 1 c. nuts, ground and 2 1/4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

In a sifter place the flour, salt, soda, cinnamon, ground cloves, allspice and pumpkin pie spice.
Beat shortening until creamy.
Add applesauce, mixing thoroughly.
Put 3 tablespoons flour in nuts and raisin mix (this is so they won't sink in mixture).
Add flour-spice mix, blending until moist.
Do not overmix.
Place in loaf pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes.
