Applesauce Biscuit
Applesauce Biscuit is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sifted flour, 1/4 tsp. baking soda, 1 egg, beaten, 1/4 c. tart applesauce and 1/4 c. grated american cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening; combine egg, applesauce and sour cream. Add to dry ingredients. Mix quickly. Turn out onto floured board and knead lightly for a few seconds.
Roll out 1/2-inch thick; cut 2-inch biscuit. Place on baking sheet. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
Bake in hot oven (400Β°) for 15 minutes.
