Place sweet potatoes in buttered baking dish.
Add apples; layer with marshmallows.
Mix sugar, salt, cinnamon and nuts. Sprinkle over marshmallows.
Mix cornstarch with 1/2 cup water until smooth; pour over all.
Dot with butter.
Cover.
May make several days ahead;
Cover tightly and refrigerate.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
