Apple Roll
Apple Roll is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. chopped apples, peeled and cored, 1 1/2 c. sugar (less, if desired), 1 tsp. cinnamon, salt to taste and 1 stick margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Roll out dough in oblong shape on floured board or table. Spread apples evenly over dough.
Sprinkle with sugar, salt and cinnamon.
Start at the edge and roll as a jelly roll.
Cut into 3 or 4 pieces and place into baking dish.
Dot with margarine. Cover with boiling water.
Cook at 400Β° until brown, about 30 minutes.
Other fruits such as peaches, blackberries or strawberries may be used.
