Apple Dumplings
Apple Dumplings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. water, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. nutmeg and 3 tbsp. oleo, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Combine sugar, water, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Cook to boiling. Add oleo and food coloring.
Make a dough of the flour, baking powder, milk and shortening.
Divide into 6 circles.
Put an apple in circle of dough.
Sprinkle with a little cinnamon-nutmeg and oleo.
Close dough around apple.
Place in pan and pour syrup over.
Bake at 375Β° for 35 minutes.
Serve with milk or ice cream or as is.
