Apple Dumplings
Apple Dumplings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 c. butter, 2 c. water and 1/4 tsp. nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Mix together the first 5 ingredients.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Cut in the shortening.
Add the milk. Pare and core the apples; cut in eighths.
Roll dough until about 1/4-inch thick.
Cut in 5-inch squares.
Put 4 pieces apple in each square.
Cover with sugar; generously sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Dot with butter.
Place in greased baking pan.
After pinching corners together, pour over syrup.
Bake at 375Β° for 30 to 40 minutes.
