Apple Dumplings

Mix flour and salt.
Cut in lard. Beat water, vinegar and egg together.
Mix the lard mixture into flour.
Divide dough in half. Roll out each half and cut into 6 squares.
Peel and core 12 tart apples.
Place 1 apple on each square of crust.
Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon sugar and a dash of cinnamon.
Wrap crust around apple. Place in 9 x 13-inch pan.
