Apple Danish

Combine flour and salt.
Cut in Crisco.
Beat egg yolk in measuring cup.
Add enough milk to make 2/3 cup liquid.
Mix well. Stir egg into flour.
Roll 1/2 of dough to fit a 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan.
Sprinkle with cornflakes.
Add apples.
Combine sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle apples.
Roll remaining dough.
Place over apples.
Seal edges.
Cut slits in top.
Brush with egg white. Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 375Β° for 55 minutes.
Cut into bars.
