Apple Crisp
Apple Crisp is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 or 6 c. pared apples, sliced into thin slices, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. sifted flour, 1/2 to 1 c. sugar and 1 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Place apples in a greased 9 x 9-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle sugar over these.
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and egg together with a fork until crumbly and sprinkle over apples.
Over all pour shortening (oleo).
Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake in 350Β° oven 30 to 40 minutes.
