Apple Butter
Apple Butter is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 16 c. ground apple pulp, 3 c. dark brown sugar, 5 c. white sugar, 1/2 tsp. cloves and 4 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Mix all ingredients in roaster.
Bake for 4 hours (more or less, depending on apple pulp thickness) at 300° to 325°.
Stir every 15 minutes.
Put clean jars and lids into boiling water to sterilize.
Fill hot jars with apple butter.
Wipe off tops with clean cloth.
Put on hot lids and turn rings tight.
(Use hot pads.)
Let set undisturbed to cool.
Makes about 1/2 pint for each cup of apples.
